Sangamam Matriculation School - Rathinapuri Key Responsibilities Middle school English teachers have a variety of responsibilities including developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with state standards They teach fundamental English language arts skills such as grammar vocabulary and writing Introducing students to diverse literature and guiding them in critical analysis is also a key part of the role Teachers assess student progress through various methods and provide feedback They are also responsible for managing the classroom and fostering a positive learning environment Differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs is important as is collaborating with parents and colleagues to support student success Incorporating educational technology into lessons is also common Core Instructional Responsibilities Lesson Planning and Delivery Designing and implementing engaging daily lesson plans that align with state and school English Language Arts ELA standards for reading writing speaking and listening Teaching Core ELA Skills Instructing students in foundational English language arts concepts including grammar vocabulary punctuation and sentence paragraph structure Fostering Reading Comprehension and Analysis Guiding students in reading and interpreting diverse literary and informational texts and teaching strategies for critical analysis and understanding Guiding the Writing Process Leading students through all stages of writing pre-writing drafting revising and editing across various styles like essays and creative pieces Assessing Student Progress Creating administering and grading assignments quizzes and exams to evaluate student performance and providing constructive feedback Managing Classroom Behavior Establishing and enforcing classroom rules and procedures to foster a positive safe and productive learning setting that encourages participation Differentiating Instruction Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse learning needs and academic levels of students within the classroom including those with individualized education plans IEPs Communicating with Stakeholders Maintaining regular communication with parents guardians and school staff about student performance behavior and academic goals Integrating Educational Technology Incorporating technology tools such as learning management systems LMS and interactive whiteboards into lessons and administrative tasks Pursuing Professional Development Participating in ongoing training workshops and collaboration with colleagues to stay current with educational trends and enhance teaching skills Job Type Full-time Pay 9 998 38 - 20 000 00 per month Work Location In person
