Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC VTL Operator to set up, operate, and maintain vertical turning lathe machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC VTL machines for machining large and heavy components
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
- Perform in-process inspections using measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Maintain proper machine parameters such as speed, feed, and depth of cut
- Troubleshoot machining issues and report defects or inconsistencies
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and company procedures
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining and VTL operations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Familiarity with CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, etc.)
- Good understanding of tooling and cutting processes
- Attention to detail and quality control
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2–5 years of experience operating CNC VTL machines
- Experience in heavy engineering or manufacturing preferred
Work Environment
- Manufacturing / industrial setting
- May require working in shifts
- Handling heavy components and machinery
Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
