Overview
We are seeking an experienced and result-driven Production Manager to oversee and manage end- to- end manufacturing and packing operations in the cosmetics and cosmeceuticals segment. The role involves ensuring efficient production planning, maintaining quality and regulatory compliance, optimizing processes, and leading cross-functional coordination with Sales, PPIC, R&D, QA, and QC teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a continuous improvement mindset to drive operational excellence and meet business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies and plans to meet monthly production goals and objectives in collaboration with Sales, PPIC, Purchase, and the Factory Manager.
- Oversee day-to-day packing and manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production and achievement of production targets in skincare, haircare, and colour cosmetics sections.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various departmental processes.
- Continuously monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce manpower and operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices on the production floor.
- Provide strong leadership, guidance, and support to the production staff.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in the plant environment.
- Lead and participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
- Collaborate with R&D on a project basis or work independently for successful scale-up and troubleshooting of batches.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, equipment, and process improvements.
- Address worker concerns and ensure team motivation.
- Work closely with worker contractors to fill manpower gaps as required.
- Collaborate with QC and QA teams to handle customer and FDA audits.
- Maintain day-to-day production documents and track records.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (8–10 years) in a leadership role within the cosmetics manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of cosmetics manufacturing processes, including batch processing.
- Sound understanding of safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality management systems.
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in plant setup, commissioning, and process optimization.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving production targets.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Result-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
