Job Overview

Our client is hiring a Junior Network Technician to support network infrastructure improvements during a project in Montreal. This role is ideal for someone early in their networking career who is eager to gain hands-on experience with hardware, deployment, and real-world networking environments.

Key Responsibilities

Deployment & Installation

• Assist with network cable installation, termination, and organization
• Support deployment and basic configuration of Fortinet switches and wireless access points (WAPs)
• Assist with physical network infrastructure and server room improvements
• Test network connections and perform basic troubleshooting

Support & Documentation

• Follow guidance from the Senior Network Technician on installations and configurations
• Assist with labeling, asset tracking, and documentation
• Help identify, document, and report network issues for resolution

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in IT support, field technician, or network installation roles
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, IP addressing, etc.)
• Familiarity with networking hardware (switches, routers, cabling)
• Ability to follow technical instructions and work in physically demanding environments
• Strong willingness to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced, on-site setting
• Fluent in French (mandatory)

Preferred Qualifications

• Networking coursework or certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA – in progress)
• Exposure to structured cabling and basic firewall/switch configuration

Notre client recrute un Technicien Réseau Junior pour soutenir les améliorations de l’infrastructure réseau dans le cadre d’un projet à Montréal. Ce poste est idéal pour un candidat en début de carrière souhaitant acquérir une expérience pratique en réseautique, déploiement et infrastructure.

Responsabilités principales

Déploiement et installation

• Aider à l’installation, la terminaison et l’organisation du câblage réseau
• Participer au déploiement et à la configuration de base des commutateurs Fortinet et des points d’accès sans fil (WAP)
• Contribuer aux améliorations de l’infrastructure réseau physique et de la salle des serveurs
• Tester les connexions réseau et effectuer un dépannage de base

Support et documentation

• Suivre les directives du technicien réseau senior pour les installations et configurations
• Aider à l’étiquetage, au suivi des actifs et à la documentation
• Identifier, documenter et signaler les problèmes réseau

Qualifications

• 1 à 3 ans d’expérience en support TI, technicien terrain ou installation réseau
• Connaissance de base des concepts réseau (LAN/WAN, adressage IP, etc.)
• Familiarité avec le matériel réseau (commutateurs, routeurs, câblage)
• Capacité à suivre des instructions techniques et à travailler dans un environnement physique
• Forte volonté d’apprendre et de collaborer dans un environnement dynamique
• Maîtrise du français obligatoire

Atouts
