Job Description
Saint Germain Catering looking for a professional hands on Executive Sous Chef. The team is looking for someone to prepare and teach hands on sauces and dressings and new recipes. We are top Corporate and Event Caterer serving DC and VA and MD. Please apply in person or submit your resume.
We would love a creative and passionate Chef to help us grow and our team. The job is more hours of Tuesday thru Saturday. We are closed on Sundays. and Mondays and all Holidays we are closed. The job is ideal for anyone who does not want to work evenings either. The position requires to start at 3am daily.
Responsibilities
· Coaches Culinary Team on execution of menu items
· Ensure all food safety regulations are followed
· Inspect the quality of the food
· Inspire, Lead, and Excite the Culinary Team
· Coordinate all of the kitchen staff
· Assist in hiring and training new kitchen staff
· Manage special dietary needs and insure proper protocols adhered
· Oversee purchasing to stay within certain budget
Qualifications for Executive Chef
· Bachelor's degree in the culinary arts (Recommended)
· At least 2 years as Executive Chef of a High-Volume Catering Facility
· Can Speak Spanish (highly recommended)
· Ability to manage an entire kitchen and cultivate a positive team attitude
· Budgeting skills to control costs
· Incredible food preparation abilities
· Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
· Deep knowledge of the food industry and trends
· Incredible time management skills
· Ability to pass a background test
· Ability to create new menu items
· Ability to work overnight, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $74,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
