SAIC is seeking a Infrastructure Platform Engineer to support SAIC’s Prime Program, Landmark AOS, in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program supporting the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), providing technical expertise across the full acquisition life cycle for complex ground systems. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
As a Infrastructure Platform Engineer SETA, you will serve as a hands-on technical contributor supporting the design, assessment, and integration of infrastructure and platform capabilities across the enterprise. You will work closely with government stakeholders, developers, and mission partners to ensure infrastructure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with program objectives.
Key Responsibilities to include:
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and sustainment strategies for enterprise infrastructure and platform services.
- Evaluate system architectures to ensure scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
- Support end-to-end project activities by providing technical inputs for planning, execution, and risk identification.
- Translate stakeholder needs into actionable technical requirements and documentation.
- Provide subject-matter expertise to development and integration teams on infrastructure and platform best practices.
- Assist in maintaining project artifacts such as schedules, technical plans, and resource assessments.
Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation approaches to government leadership.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by recommending modern tools, processes, and engineering practices.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure components, platform services, and engineering workflows.
- Contribute to status updates, technical reports, and briefings for senior government stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with IC, DoD, and/or commercial space architectures, systems, and/or operations.
- Experience in infrastructure/platform management.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Strong technical background with expertise in infrastructure, cloud services, and platform technologies.
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PMP, PRINCE2).
- Experience supporting the IC.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and cross-functional team environment.
- Strong oral and written communications ability on significant technical matters often requiring coordination within a high-tempo environment.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, etc. a PLUS!
