Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager Tool Room to oversee tool manufacturing, maintenance, and development activities. The role requires strong expertise in CNC machining, EDM, milling, grinding, polishing, and plastic injection mold tools, ensuring high precision, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end tool room operations including manufacturing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of molds and dies
• Lead and supervise teams handling CNC machining, EDM, milling, grinding, and polishing processes
• Ensure timely tool development and readiness for production schedules
• Oversee plastic injection mold maintenance, modifications, and improvements
• Analyze tool failures and implement root cause corrective actions
• Optimize machining processes for cost, cycle time, and quality improvement
• Coordinate with production, design, and quality teams for tool-related requirements
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality systems
• Monitor tool life, preventive maintenance schedules, and spare planning
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in tool room operations

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong hands-on experience in:
• CNC Machining
• EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining)
• Milling & Grinding
• Tool Polishing
• Plastic Injection Mold Tools
• Good understanding of tool design, GD&T, and machining processes
• Experience in automotive component manufacturing preferred
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
• Ability to handle high-pressure production environments

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Preferred Experience:

• 10–20 years of experience in Tool Room operations
• Experience in automotive plastic components manufacturing is highly desirable

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Tool readiness as per production plan
• Reduction in tool breakdown and downtime
• Improvement in tool life and cost efficiency
• Adherence to quality and rejection targets
