We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager, Technology Systems (Construction Management) to join our dynamic team. You will leverage your capacity for innovation and problem-solving to lead administrative and technical management, ensuring an exceptional project is delivered to our clients. You will oversee contracted work, ensuring compliance with contract documents and the project schedule while also implementing a culture of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all contract administration activities, including change orders, submittals, and procurement.
- Provide technical oversight and manage the implementation and integration of all technology systems.
- Lead and manage the project team by scheduling and facilitating project meetings to ensure the project remains on schedule.
- Offer general administrative and technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain all project records, monitor correspondence, and supervise the complete project close-out process.
- Motivate, train, and develop direct reports through on-the-job coaching and internal/external development opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with counterparts at owner, design, and general contractor firms.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Industry certification(s) ex. BICSI, ASIS, CTS, etc. a plus.
- 5 -7 years construction management experience is required.
- Prior experience working on large scale, complex, technology systems implementation (in commercial construction) is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects successfully from start to finish.
- Skilled at negotiating and developing relationships with owners and subcontractors.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team; Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
- Strong work ethic, motivated, self-starter, problem-solver.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- A strong passion for technology systems, construction management, and the industry is essential.
- Preferred: Working knowledge of construction management software platforms such as Procore, FieldWire, and Bluebeam.
The Physical Side of the Role: Given that a good portion of your day will be spent at a desk, you should be comfortable with prolonged periods of focused work, whether it's collaborating with colleagues, analyzing data, or developing strategies. The role demands effective communication and sharp visual acuity for reviewing complex documents and performing detailed computer work. While there are times for quiet concentration, you'll also be expected to move actively throughout the office and travel occasionally to various locations, including dynamic construction sites, utilizing different modes of transportation. The ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 25 pounds on occasion (think a box of files or small office equipment), is also required.
Your Work Environment: Your primary workspace will be in our professional office, which has a typical, quiet-to-moderate noise and light levels. As part of your work, you may also be required to visit active construction sites. These environments are naturally more dynamic and can include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, louder noise, and moving equipment. Your safety is our top priority, and you'll be expected to follow Clark Construction's safety policies and procedures, and all applicable laws, at all locations.
