Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Consultant to provide expert part‑time support on a 1099 basis. The consultant will deliver hands‑on administration, configuration, security guidance, and optimization across our M365 environment. This is an ongoing consulting project with flexible hours and a strong focus on improving collaboration, security, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra ID (Azure AD) management.
- Support and configure Teams administration, including policies, call/meeting settings, compliance, and integration.
- Manage and optimize SharePoint Online sites, permissions, and content architecture.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, including MFA, Conditional Access, identity governance, and compliance controls.
- Assist with M365 governance, documentation, standards, and operational processes.
- Troubleshoot user issues and provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Recommend improvements and lead small optimization projects as needed.
Required
- Hands‑on experience in Microsoft 365 administration (3+ years preferred).
- Proficiency with Teams Admin Center and SharePoint Online Administration.
- Strong understanding of M365 security and compliance features.
- CompTIA Security+ certification (active).
- Experience supporting hybrid or cloud‑only M365 environments.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality results on schedule.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- USA Citizen
Desired
- Experience with Intune / Endpoint Manager.
- Experience in regulated or security‑sensitive environments.
- Familiarity with M365 tenant‑to‑tenant migrations or modernization projects.
