ABOUT THE ROLE The Truck Unloader at S&S Activewear will be responsible for unloading product off of trucks, following safety and related work procedures. Aside from offloading or unloading trucks, his/her job description also entails properly arranging or storing of unloaded items in the facility. Attaches identifying labels or inbound cases. The Truck Unloader team member and all employees must adhere to the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.

COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE

$20.60 per hour CAD,

Monday - Friday 6AM - 2:30PM, Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Seasonal

WOODBRIDGE, ONTARIO

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Must have a positive "can-do" attitude
• Handles loads carefully following lifting safety rules
• Inspects trucks before beginning unloading operations to make sure they are clean and safe
• Safely operate warehouse electrical cart.
• Work with sense of urgency, operations at receiving area are time sensitive.
• Follow oral and written directions of supervisors and managers, to determine work assignments
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Perform other activities as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal.
• Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements.
• Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment.
• Remain flexible to work overtime.
• Attention to detail
• Perform general cleaning duties related with the position.
• Willing to perform other duties as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS In performing the job of Truck Unloader, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires daily lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, and handling of items up to 50 lbs. As needed - stooping, kneeling, crouching, to perform duties. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, accurate color vision, and hearing.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• The job will be performed entirely in the S&S Activewear warehouse and inside trucks where conditions can range from warm to cool.
• The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
