Position Title: Application Support Analyst
Duration: 12 months
Hybrid / 1 day a week Tuesday + every second Friday of the month (Training 3 days a week on-site for the first month)

This team provides operational support for all OpenShift & Kubernetes clusters across the bank, including ARO (Azure Red Hat OpenShift) and AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service). Responsibilities include platform upgrades, maintenance, namespace creation, quotas, monitoring, certificate management, and support for several public-facing applications hosted on OpenShift
Job Description
The Application Support Analyst will join the OpenShift & Kubernetes Operations team, responsible for supporting and maintaining enterprise OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters for the bank. The successful candidate will handle day to day operational tasks, basic deployments, troubleshooting, and support for several applications hosted on OpenShift. This is a junior-intermediate role suited for someone eager to learn containerization and cloud platform operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform operational support for OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters (ARO & AKS).
- Support environments with activities such as upgrades, maintenance, resource quotas, namespaces, and monitoring.
- Execute basic deployments for public-facing applications hosted on OpenShift.
- Troubleshoot application and platform issues, escalating to senior team members when needed.
- Work with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools for deployment pipelines.
- Support certificate updates, CSR handling, and certificate authority processes.
- Retrieve logs, open support cases with Red Hat when needed.
- Work comfortably in Linux command-line environments.
- Participate in on-site training (3 days/week first month), then transition to hybrid model.
Must Have Requirement:
2 years+ have hands on experience working with Red Hat Open Shift or Kubernetes containerization platforms.
2 years + production application support in an enterprise environment following CHG and Incident management processes
2 years+ experience supporting mission critical enterprise infrastructure using best practices for high availability in a 24x7 operational environment.
Comfortable working with the following tools/technology: RHEL Linux OS, Azure DevOps, Github, Shell Scripting, Microsoft Azure, Redis/MongoDB, Dynatrace or Grafana.
Nice to Have
Experience supporting applications hosted in a cloud/containerized environment.
Prior work in a financial institution.
Familiarity with CI/CD, YAML, or automation tools.
