About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Central Transport Manager to oversee and streamline our transport operations across multiple school units. This role is critical in ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective student transportation through strong operational control and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Route Planning & Optimization

• Design and optimize bus routes based on student locations
• Ensure minimum travel time and maximum efficiency
• Continuously update routes as per changing requirements

Data Analysis & Tracking Systems

• Monitor operations using GPS tracking systems
• Analyse route efficiency, delays, deviations, and utilization
• Generate reports and actionable insights

Vehicle Maintenance & Breakdown Management

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
• Ensure minimal downtime through proactive servicing
• Handle breakdowns and emergency situations efficiently

Compliance & Documentation

• Manage vehicle fitness, insurance, permits, and pollution certificates
• Ensure timely renewals and 100% regulatory compliance

Fuel Management & Cost Control

• Track fuel consumption and maintain logs
• Identify inefficiencies and implement cost-saving measures

School Coordination

• Act as a central point of contact between transport and school units

New School Setup

• Lead transport setup for new school campuses

Vendor & Staff Management

• Manage vendors, drivers, and support staff
• Monitor performance and ensure adherence to safety standards
• Support hiring and onboarding

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with GPS tracking systems & MIS reporting

Knowledge of transport compliance and regulations

Excellent coordination and stakeholder management

Ability to manage on-ground operational challenges
