TITLE: Plant Manager
TYPE: Direct Hire
LOCATION: Fairless Hills, PA
ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Onsite
SHIFT: 1st Shift, M-F
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to step into a critical leadership role due to an upcoming retirement. This individual will partner closely with the current Plant Manager during a transition period, gaining hands-on exposure to operations while beginning to implement process improvements and operational efficiencies.
This role has recently expanded in scope, absorbing additional responsibilities aligned with broader operational leadership, making it a high-impact position within the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead day-to-day plant operations across welding, fabrication, and assembly functions
- Drive labor cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and throughput
- Improve production scheduling, workflow, and overall plant efficiency
- Evaluate and optimize plant layout for better material flow and productivity
- Implement process improvements and operational best practices (continuous improvement mindset)
- Utilize MRP/ERP systems to support planning, inventory, and production management
- Partner with leadership to align plant performance with business objectives
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to production teams
IDEAL BACKGROUND:
- 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, ideally in a plant or operations leadership role
- Strong background in welding, fabrication, and assembly environments
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems in a manufacturing setting
- Proven track record of improving processes, reducing costs, and optimizing operations
- Exposure to Lean/Kaizen concepts preferred, but not required (must understand best practices)
- Ability to step into an established operation and elevate it further
