Posting Summary / Responsibilities

  • Communicates and collaborates with the study team to maintain involvement in all facets of the research project.
  • Supports ongoing research projects involving participant recruitment and data collection.
  • Performs the primary role of participant recruitment and screening, obtaining consent, coordinating study schedules, conducting data collection, and related administrative tasks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in social sciences (e.g., Psychology, Public Health) with direct patient experience in behavioral health settings.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver’s license and completion of required Human Subjects Study training (e.g., CITI certification).
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Effective communication and strong writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Research Associate (e.g., recruitment, Qualtrics).
  • Familiarity with Qualtrics and/or mobile data collection.
  • Familiarity with administration and coding of semi-structured mental health diagnostic interview for DSM‑5.
  • Ability to operate a computerized tablet (e.g., iPad) to screen individuals for eligibility.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must have access to a daily car to conduct study recruitment at dispensary sites and travel to participants’ residences.
  • Availability on some evenings and weekends.
  • Clean driving record.

Salary Details

Grade 03: Minimum Salary $52,602.48

  • Mid‑Range Salary $64,788.98
  • Maximum Salary $76,975.48. Final salary offer considers qualifications, experience, and available department or grant funds.

Working Hours & Location

Full‑time, 37.5 standard work hours per week. The position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement under Rutgers Policy 60.3.22. Location: Rutgers University – New Brunswick, NJ.

Union, Assignment, and Pension

Union: URA‑AFT Administrative. Payroll Designation: PeopleSoft. Terms of Appointment: Staff – 12 months. Position Pension Eligibility: ABP.
