Role Overview
RBG Kew’s Living Collection is arguably the most diverse plant collection in cultivation in the world. This role, working in the Jodrell Glasshouse as part of the Plant Health and Quarantine team, involves growing high standard plant material for display, conservation purposes and scientific research.
Key Responsibilities
Grow and maintain plant material in the Jodrell Glasshouse on a daily basis.
Collaborate with the team to cultivate and sustain the collections.
Discuss plants and project proposals with Kew scientists and Display House supervisors.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience caring for a range of temperate, tender and tropical plants, ideally in a botanic garden or similar.
Team player able to work on initiative and independently.
A horticultural qualification at least equivalent to NVQ level 2 or equivalent experience.
