Position: ABA Instructor / ABA Therapist

Pay: $26.00 to $35.00 per hour

Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario

Work Setting: In person, clinic based and home based services as needed

Schedule: Afternoon shifts, with some flexibility based on client needs

Roots & Tales Clinic is a multidisciplinary child and family mental health and wellness centre located in Richmond Hill, Ontario. We provide evidence based services for children, youth, and families, supporting emotional, behavioural, developmental, and learning needs.

Our team includes psychotherapists, ABA therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, and educators who work collaboratively to support each child’s unique development. Our services include psychotherapy, ABA therapy, neurofeedback, parent coaching, and academic support programs focused on executive functioning, attention, and social emotional growth.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and motivated ABA Instructor / ABA Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team.

In this role, you will work directly with children to implement individualized behavioural programs under clinical supervision. The role may include both clinic based sessions and home based services depending on client needs. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for approved home based visits.

The focus of this position includes supporting emotional regulation, communication, social skills, adaptive functioning, daily living skills, and positive behaviour development.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized ABA programs under BCBA supervision
• Follow behaviour intervention plans and clinical recommendations
• Provide one to one and small group sessions
• Support skill development in communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and adaptive functioning
• Collect, track, and document behavioural data accurately
• Prepare session materials and maintain organized documentation
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and the clinical team
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions when required
• Provide services in clinic and, when needed, in clients’ homes
• Follow privacy, consent, safety, and clinic policies

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Education, or a related field
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in ABA, pediatric, or child focused settings preferred
• Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, or behavioural needs is an asset
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Professional, reliable, and client centred approach
• Ability to work independently while following clinical direction
• Access to reliable transportation is preferred for home based services

Availability

• Afternoon shift availability is required
• Flexibility to travel for home based sessions when needed
• Casual hours based on client needs and scheduling availability
