Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical meter installations performed by unionized installers to assess compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement audit plans to evaluate installation quality and adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, compliance gaps, and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with project managers, installers, and other stakeholders to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, standards, and best practices related to electrical installations and metering technologies.
- Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance auditing skills and knowledge of compliance requirements.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree/college degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in auditing, quality assurance, or related roles within the electrical or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in developing audit plans, conducting inspections, and preparing clear, concise reports.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Journeyperson 309A, Journeyperson Meter Technician, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Energy Auditor etc. are a plus.
- A valid Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s License, driver’s insurance and an excellent driving record.
- Knowledge of and experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office and meter specific software.
- First Aid and CPR certificates and knowledge of EUSA and the OHSA are assets.
