NOC Operator (Mon-Fri, Days)

Our client is seeking a NOC Operator to join their IT operations team. This role is responsible for monitoring network and system performance to ensure uptime, reliability, and security across critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, experience with network monitoring tools, and the ability to respond quickly to incidents in a fast paced environment. This is a hybrid position based in New York, NY.
Please note: This shift is from Monday to Friday (7am-3:30pm)
Starting at $50/hour.
NOC Operator’s Responsibilities And Duties
- Monitor network, server, and application performance using NOC monitoring tools.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system alerts, outages, and performance issues.
- Escalate incidents to appropriate engineering or infrastructure teams when necessary.
- Perform initial diagnostics and document incidents in the ticketing system.
- Track issues through resolution while maintaining accurate logs and reports.
NOC Operator’s Qualifications And Skills
- At least year of experience in a Network Operations Center, IT operations, or technical support role.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Experience using monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
