RT HVAC Holding Inc. is a leading provider of home comfort solutions across Canada, specializing in heating, air conditioning, indoor air quality, plumbing and electrical services. RT currently operates in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan & BC.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Accounting Manager in GTA to join our team, and would be responsible for the day to day accounting and financial activities for various company’s locations.
The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly financial closing, provide financial reports, and interpret financial information to managerial staff on a regular basis while recommending further courses of action
- Provide financial support to the Finance team and meet all financial reporting deadlines
- Exporting data from accounting system and analyzing data from various locations, review and analyze balance sheet accounts, tracking capital assets, accruals and intercompany reconciliations,
- Reconcile bank accounts, investigating any discrepancies for adequate resolution
- Prepare and file monthly HST/GST returns and ensure compliance
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
- Develop trends and projections for the company’s finances.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.
- Liase with financial auditors for year end audit
- Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Accounting/Financial Manager, Controller or business analyst
- Experience in the business sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst
- Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
- Proficient user of finance software
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Able to guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- A professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, CGA, CMA,) is preferred
