Virginia Tax Seeks a Web Developer

Virginia Tax is seeking a Web Developer to support web application projects. This position involves working throughout the full lifecycle of system delivery, with a focus on the design, development, and deployment of high-quality applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in front-end technologies, particularly Angular or React, along with back-end experience in Java. The developer will collaborate closely with Business System Analysts, IT teams, and testing staff to ensure the successful implementation of system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities/Required skillset:

• Design, develop, and deploy web applications.
• Implement new features and enhancements.
• Conduct unit testing to ensure code quality.
• Review and contribute to technical designs.
• Ensure applications meet all functional specifications and performance requirements.
• Angular Expertise – Professional experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex applications using Angular or React — 5 Years
• API Development – Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs (or equivalent technologies like Java/Spring Boot) — 5 Years
• Database Proficiency – Strong SQL skills, including complex query writing and basic query optimization — 5 Years
• Full SDLC Knowledge – Solid understanding of the complete software development lifecycle and modern methodologies (Agile, Scrum) — 5 Years
• Version Control – Proficiency with Git and modern workflows (branching, merging, pull requests) — 5 Years
• Problem-Solving – Strong analytical and debugging skills across the application stack — 5 Years
• AWS Development Experience — 2 Years

• Prior Tax or Financial Technology Experience — 2 Years
