Job Description
JOB TITLE – HR Coordinator
SCOPE & PURPOSE
Under the daily direction of the Director of Human Resources, the HR Coordinator is responsible for a wide variety of daily independent tasks and administrative support to the HR department. To be successful in this role, the HR Coordinator must be customer service oriented, organized, professional and practice confidentiality always.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Full life cycle recruiting
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date and organized electronic filing system
- Creates, edits and proofreads company facing HR communications
- Maintains recruiting information on open and closed requisitions in the HRIS system and job boards
- Manages the onboarding and offboarding process
- Provides exceptional customer service to employees across all HR functions and especially for recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, basic HRIS system support and reports as needed.
- Prepares mailings as assigned
- Assists the HR Director with incoming mail, scanning and sending if necessary and filing in our electronic filing system.
- Completes Verification of Employment requests.
- Runs background checks for all potential new hires.
- Orders and distributes employment posters on a yearly basis.
- Completes I-9 forms for all new hires.
- Special projects as assigned
- Work as part of a team to administer benefits for all employees
- Maintain an understanding of all company benefits programs and provisions.
- Responsible for orientation preparations including follow-up communications.
- Responsible for reviewing and approving employee benefits enrollments and obtaining additional required documentation, as needed, in a timely manner.
- Routinely audits benefits enrollment information with carriers and correct enrollment data as necessary
- Maintain and update benefits communications in accordance with the law
- Ensure 401k data transmission for every pay period is successful and accurate
- Completes benefits reconciliations to assure that the information going from our benefits administration system is sent to the carriers correctly
- Assist employees with any benefits related issues
- Interfaces with our benefits brokers to provide support for employees
- Open Enrollment administration
- Works closely and effectively with the Payroll Administrator

Qualifications
· Prior knowledge of benefits administration human capital management systems, UKG preferred.
· Experience working with health benefits, 401(k) retirement plan, COBRA, and other employee benefits packages.
· Impeccable organization
· Minimum 3 years professional experience
· Aptitude for learning different HRIS systems
· Experience with maintaining organized electronic filing systems
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook)
· Strong written and verbal communications skills
· Excellent critical thinking and attention to detail
· Able to interact and communicate with all levels of management
· Can adapt easily to a changing and fast paced environment
· Proven ability to keep personal information confidential
