Financial Compliance & Research Analyst (Entry-Level) — Fintech / Web3 Startup

About the Role

\nWe’re hiring on behalf of an elite fintech & Web3 client building at the intersection of traditional finance and the decentralized economy. This is an entry-level, research-driven role for someone who is intellectually curious, analytically sharp, and excited to wear multiple hats across financial compliance, investment research, financial research, and taxation — both Indian and global.\n

• Engagement: Contract-to-Hire — initial 3-month contract with a clear path to a full time offer based on performance.

\nWhat You’ll Do\n

\n

• Conduct deep-dive research across financial markets, asset classes, investment products, and emerging Web3 / crypto opportunities.

\n

• Track and interpret Indian and global regulatory developments (SEBI, RBI, FEMA, IFSCA, FATF, MiCA, SEC, FinCEN, etc.) and translate them into actionable compliance insights.

\n

• Support direct and indirect taxation analysis across jurisdictions — including VDA (Virtual Digital Asset) taxation, TDS under Section 194S, GST implications, transfer pricing, and cross-border tax structuring.

\n

• Prepare investment research notes, market briefs, due-diligence reports, and white-papers for internal and client-facing use.

\n

• Assist in building compliance frameworks, KYC/AML processes, audit trails\n, and internal controls for fintech and Web3 products.

\n

• Monitor crypto markets, on-chain data, DeFi protocols, stablecoins, and tokenized real-world assets to inform strategy.

\n

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, legal, and engineering teams — translating finance into plain English (and back).

\n

\nWho You Are\n

\n

• Recent graduate or early-career professional in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law\n, or a related field.

\n

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification — qualified, semi-qualified, or actively pursuing — is a significant plus\n.

\n

• Strong grasp of Indian taxation\n, financial reporting standards (Ind AS / IFRS), and corporate compliance fundamentals.

\n

• Working knowledge of global tax and compliance regimes is highly valued.

\n

• Web3 / crypto literacy is a massive plus — wallets, exchanges, DeFi, NFTs, tokenomics, and on-chain analytics (Etherscan, Dune, Nansen, etc.).

• Exceptional written communication; able to turn complex regulation into crisp, structured insights.

\n

• Comfortable with Excel / Google Sheets, research tools, and self-directed learning.

\n

• Creative problem-solver with a founder-mindset — proactive, resourceful, and unafraid of ambiguity.

• CFA Level 1 (or higher), CS, LLB, or relevant certifications in compliance / AML / crypto.

\n

• Prior internship or project experience at Big 4, investment research firms, fintech, or crypto-native companies.

\n

• Published research, blogs, or thought-leadership on finance, tax, or Web3 topics.

\n

• Familiarity with tools like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, Chainalysis, or TradingView.
