- Handle water rights adjudications, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
- Advise on water rights changes, non-use issues, exchanges, and groundwater/surface water disputes.
- Navigate land-use and zoning processes, entitlements, and municipal approvals.
- Draft and review real estate agreements, regulatory filings, and client documents.
- Collaborate across practice groups on environmental, natural resources, and corporate matters.
- Provide strategic guidance to clients and support firmwide initiatives.
- Supervise junior attorneys and staff as needed. What You Bring
- 10+ years of meaningful experience in water law.
- Utah Bar membership or willingness to obtain.
- Familiarity with land use, zoning, environmental, or natural resources matters preferred.
- Exceptional academic credentials and writing ability.
- Ability to independently manage complex matters and interact with state/local agencies.
- Strong collaborative, ethical, and communicative mindset.
