Job Description
Company Overview
Rex is a privately held ecosystem of entrepreneurial ventures led by Peter Rex, spanning real estate private equity, technology, insurance, and AI. We build businesses and investment platforms that generate both exceptional financial returns and meaningful societal impact. At the core of our strategy is investor engagement: attracting aligned capital partners who share our long-term vision. We are building the most compelling investor-facing ecosystem in the private markets. The role offers exposure to a uniquely diverse platform — combining institutional-quality real estate and high-growth tech ventures, all aligned under a singular mission-driven vision.
About Us
Our mission is to catalyze human flourishing through stewardship, serving people in all nations. We seek a transcendent impact, second to none, crossing geographies and making a permanent mark on history.
We aim to uplift investors, foster flourishing families, create enduring trust, and contribute to a more beautiful world through our investments, products and services, and new ventures.
Our investments are primarily in real estate, with additional allocations to tech, energy, and alternatives, employing a downside-protected, long-term approach to investing. We are grounded in timeless morals and seek to preserve and grow both investor capital and our own.
We serve a diverse ecosystem that includes:
- Multifamily apartment management with 20,000+ apartments
- Hotel and office buildings
- Tech ventures
- Insurance companies
Our businesses, with over 500 employees, are primarily throughout Texas and Florida, but we aim to expand globally with our products and services, impacting people in all countries.
Mindset
- Fanatical Investor Focus: Serve our investors by preserving their wealth first and foremost and secondarily seeking to maximize their return on equity while fostering human progress through stewardship of the assets and companies.
- Ecosystem Alignment: Execute in a spirit of partnership across all components of the Rex ecosystem, including multifamily and other real estate assets as well as tech companies.
- Missionary Zeal: Care about investor stewardship and advancing the vision of catalyzing human flourishing.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a top 5% performer, a high-energy, highly motivated Capital Formation Associate to join our growing Investments team. This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who is hungry to learn, ready to contribute, and excited by the challenge of raising capital in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
You’ll be focused on private equity real estate investments, primarily large-scale multifamily acquisitions. Backed by a strong track record of executing major transactions, we are expanding aggressively and looking for a driven professional to support direct LP fundraising efforts targeting high-net-worth individuals (HNWs), ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), and family offices.
As a Capital Formation Associate, you’ll work closely with senior capital markets leaders, playing a key role in sourcing, engaging, and managing relationships with high-net-worth investors, family offices, and their advisors. Our acquisitions typically require $10M to $30M in direct LP equity per transaction.
You won’t be expected to close capital single-handedly, but you will be expected to roll up your sleeves, pick up the phone, and actively drive the fundraising process forward. You’ll be working alongside experienced teammates raising non-controlling LP capital across multiple live transactions, with plans to deploy billions more when opportunities are accretive.
This is a high-growth, high-visibility role with meaningful upside tied directly to performance. Capital stacks will typically include agency debt, preferred equity, and passive LP equity.
The Role
The Capital Formation Associate will lead efforts to cultivate, expand, and deepen relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, single-family offices, and select wealth advisors who directly oversee large-scale private capital allocations.
This role does not involve raising JV LP capital from private equity groups or large institutional investors. Instead, you're building lasting relationships and closing real estate equity rounds with accredited investors or qualified individuals who allocate their own capital without requiring control.
It is designed for a strategic, high-caliber professional with a proven ability to cultivate deep investor relationships, structure compelling investment opportunities, and secure capital commitments from high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and other investors deploying their own funds.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to raise direct LP capital from high-net-worth individuals (HNWs), ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), and family offices
- Source and connect with prospective investors via outbound calls, emails, and events
- Assis
