Relative Dynamics Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an Aerospace Flight Software Engineer with cFS experience. You will help develop, test, and integrate the flight software and collaborate with other engineering teams. This position is located at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.
What You'll Get to Do:
- Develop, test, and integrate flight software as a key member of the Flight Software Team
- Write cFS (core Flight System) applications and libraries or edit existing code
- Design, implementation, and maintenance of high reliability C software
- Implement mission OPS (stored commands, ground commands, file management, modes, etc.)
- Develop test scripts using ruby to be integrated into COSMOS
- Debug complex flight software issues and come up with solutions
- Perform work on time, meeting all functional and performance requirements
- Work closely with the other engineering groups for the success of programs
What You'll Need:
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 15+ years’ experience with a minimum of 7-10 years of directly related experience in programming and software systems.
- Experience writing cFS (core Flight System) applications and libraries or editing existing code
- Experience with C, Python, Ruby, and/or COSMOS
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of Wumbo, Linux and kernel modification
- Understanding of device trees and device drivers in Linux
- Understanding of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, UDP/TCP)
- Flight experience, has worked on commissioning and ground operations for other missions
