Reid Temple Christian Academy is seeking qualified Teachers for Grades 1 with a Bachelor’s or higher degree and two years of experience working with children. The ideal candidate must be able to devise instructional plans and utilize techniques that meet the diverse learning needs of all students. The teacher must provide an atmosphere and classroom environment that is conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of students. Additionally, the ideal candidate will monitor and evaluate student performance, make informed decisions to improve student performance and collaborate with school leadership, colleagues and parents to promote the success of all scholars.

Annual Salary: Starting at $53,000.00 - $55,000.00, commensurate with credentials and experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver interactive learning programs to engage and educate scholars.
• Commitment to providing a holistic Christian education that ministers to the whole child's body, mind, and spirit.
• Plan and deliver effective differentiated instruction that engages all learners.
• Establish data-driven instructional goals for each student based on ongoing assessments of student learning.
• Implement strategies for managing classroom procedures and school-wide routines.
• Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities.
• Engage and collaborate with parents to create and implement strategies for supporting student learning and development both at home and at school.
• Actively participate in professional learning communities inclusive of ongoing professional development workshops and grade level/team meetings.
• Create a positive, structured learning environment to ensure that students embrace the core values of Reid Temple Christian Academy including high expectations for all learners, respect, educational rigor, diversity, and global responsibility.
• Supervising students during recess, lunch, and other school-wide activities, and participating in family engagement events.
• Monitor and grade homework and assessments to have results available for parents in a timely manner.
• Confers with parents and students to facilitate and arrange teacher-parent or teacher-student conferences as necessary.

Qualifications or Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited college or university.
• Teaching Certification is desired.
• At least two (2) years of experience working with children is required.
• Knowledge of the teaching/learning process in child development and growth.
• Ability to infuse technology into grade level curriculum.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
• Ability to manage and maintain classroom discipline.
• Ability to provide activities for children that encourage a STEM and global focus.
• Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, staff, students, parents, and community stakeholders.
• Excellent oral, written, and relationship skills.
• Comfortable with team-based work structure; ability to demonstrate flexibility on the job.
