Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have. </div> </div> </div> </div> </div></div>Engineering Test Technician, Energy Storage As an early member of a new engineering technician team, you will play a key role in building, setting up, and running tests to support the development of a new product at Redwood Materials. You’ll work hands-on across mechanical, electrical, and basic software tools to help validate product performance and reliability. You will support all phases of the hardware development lifecycle from early design validation and long-term reliability testing to final process validation by assembling test setups, operating equipment safely, capturing data, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. This role requires a proactive, can-do attitude with careful attention to detail and a strong safety mindset. Hours: Full-time, Days Responsibilities Will Include: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Build, set up, and execute validation tests for a new electromechanical product</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Partner with cross-functional teams (design, reliability, and abuse engineers) to support FMEAs and test plan execution</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Assemble, install, and maintain test infrastructure such as fixtures, sensors, actuators, chambers, and power supplies</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Operate test equipment, follow procedures, and ensure safe handling of high-voltage systems and lab hardware</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Collect, organize, and document test data, observations, and results clearly and consistently</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Perform basic failure triage and support failure analysis through teardown, inspections, and root-cause investigations</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Troubleshoot test setups and hardware issues; escalate and collaborate to resolve blockers quickly</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Support test automation and data logging tools (e.g., running scripts, validating outputs, contributing small updates as needed)</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Support New Product Introduction (NPI) line operations by assisting with product assembly, build readiness, and day-to-day troubleshooting. Create, update, and maintain build documentation, including work instructions, assembly procedures, and change logs to ensure accurate and repeatable processes</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Support with the management of lab inventory, organization, and power infrastructure.
