Job Description
We are looking for a Manager to lead a team of Client Account Executives within our Mid-Market Sales organization. We are looking for a strategic leader to grow this part of the business at scale.
Our Client Account Executives independently own relationships with a book of Mid-Market accounts, providing support from onboarding, through campaign management, and upselling. They act as a catalyst for client growth by working closely with brands to educate them on the best ways to leverage Reddit’s ad platform to achieve their business goals, consult and report on active campaigns, and help their clients drive meaningful ROI on the platform.
Reddit is a fast-growing platform with ambitious goals. In order to be successful, this person will need to be a self-starter who takes the initiative to uncover insights and opportunities that will improve our client partnerships and operational approach, ultimately positioning this team for long-term success. In addition to contributing to segment, team, and account-level strategy, you will also act as coach and mentor to a team of high-performing Client Account Executives.
This role is required to be based in either New York, NY or San Francisco, CA, working from the NYC or SF office 1-2x per week.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a high-performing team of Client Account Executives by recruiting and retaining top talent, while managing resources effectively
- Coach your team to exceed established revenue targets
- Partner with your team to identify obstacles to client growth, synthesize market feedback, and collaborate with XFN stakeholders to represent the needs of your team and clients
- Advise sales and product management regarding market opportunities, sales positioning, use of resources, and strategic planning
- Partner with Marketing to drive new product launches, marketing communications, and further establish Reddit as a leader amongst challenger brands
- Partner with Sales Ops and Finance to develop financial and operating targets, ensuring alignment with the strategic plan
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in digital media sales
- 1-3 years of sales management experience
- Experience with direct advertiser sales, including negotiations and management of scaled partnerships
- Proven experience upleveling sales partnerships by accessing C-level client stakeholders
- Experience in managing scalable books of business across a variety of verticals and multiple objectives
- Expertise in showcasing industry-wide leadership ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Demonstrated career progression in prior roles
