Job Description
As a Finance & Accounts Associate, you will be responsible for various finance, accounting, tax, and business operations activities. Your role will involve preparing monthly financial statements, managing reconciliations, handling taxation and compliance tasks, setting up internal controls and processes, providing business finance support, and managing vendor and payables. You will work directly with leadership, gaining hands-on exposure to all core finance work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements including P&L;, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- Ensure accurate books of accounts in compliance with Ind AS / Companies Act.
- Manage reconciliations for bank, vendor, inter-company, GST, and TDS.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Handle GST working, TDS computation, and assist in corporate tax working.
- Set up or strengthen basic finance processes and work on cost tracking and budgeting.
- Help build MIS dashboards and KPI reports for leadership.
- Collaborate with operations, marketing, and product teams on financial impact assessment.
- Review invoices, agreements, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Evaluate vendor cost efficiencies and suggest optimizations.
Qualifications Required:
- Chartered Accountant (Newly Qualified).
- Strong understanding of accounting, audit, GST, and direct tax basics.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; knowledge of Tally is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments.
- Positive communication and problem-solving skills.
