Job Description

The Business Intelligence Analyst at Rebuilders Automotive Supply (RAS) will serve as a key data resource for a fast-moving, hands-on IT team supporting one of the automotive aftermarket industry’s most established recyclers. This is not a passive role. You will roll up your sleeves and get into the day-to-day data needs of the business, collaborating closely with stakeholders and a small, tight-knit IT team. We are a legacy business with 50+ years in the automotive recycling industry, and our systems reflect that history. The right candidate will embrace that complexity, learn our environment quickly, and grow with us as we modernize. We are in the middle of exciting digital transformation initiatives with no shortage of new challenges.

Job Requirements:

3–6 years in a professional work environment; 1–3 years hands-on experience with SQL and a BI platform (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent)

Proficient in SQL Server: writing queries, modifying stored procedures, navigating relational databases in production

Experienced with Tableau or comparable BI platform: modifying dashboards, connecting data sources, managing subscriptions

Proficient in Excel for data exports, file generation, and ad-hoc analysis

Comfortable in loosely documented legacy environments; willing to learn systems by doing

Strong communicator; able to translate non-technical stakeholder requests into clear data deliverables

Self-starter with a hunger to grow; cultural fit is essential. The automotive aftermarket is a gritty, no-nonsense industry and we want someone who thrives in that environment

Nice to have: Snowflake, Python, Azure, Power Automate, API integration, or Microsoft Dynamics GP

Key Job Duties:

Respond to ad-hoc data requests from cross-functional stakeholders across three strategic business units: Cores, Catalytic Converters, and Circulate

Maintain and modify existing Tableau dashboards, stored procedures, and SQL Server report tables as business needs evolve

Support monthly recurring processes: freight reclassification, month-end data reconciliation, and recurring sales reporting

Monitor SQL Server jobs and automations; escalate issues to senior team members as needed

Generate pricing, buy list, and quote files for commercial and operational teams

Collaborate daily with IT team and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions

Participate in IT and digital transformation projects spanning BI, integrations, e-commerce, and legacy system modernization

Contribute to documentation of institutional knowledge, data lineage, and business rules

Grow into higher-complexity work overtime: API integrations, infrastructure monitoring, data architecture and cross-platform data pipelines

Travel: Minimal; occasional travel to company locations or vendor sites as needed

Reporting: This position reports to the IT Operations Manager with day-to-day collaboration across the IT team and key business stakeholders

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
