Computer Science Teacher (Primary & Lower Secondary)

Kanakia International School – Bhayandar Position: Computer Science Teacher (Grades 1–7) Role Overview We are seeking a passionate Computer Science Teacher for Grades 1 to 7 who can build strong foundational skills in computational thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. This role goes beyond basic ICT and focuses on developing core computer science concepts aligned with the Cambridge Computing framework.

Key Responsibilities - Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons for primary and lower secondary students

• Develop and implement curriculum aligned with Cambridge Computing standards
• Foster computational thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills
• Introduce age-appropriate programming concepts and digital creation skills
• Integrate Computer Science with other subjects, especially Mathematics
• Create an inclusive, interactive, and student-centric classroom environment
• Assess, track, and report student progress effectively
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school development initiatives and training programs Qualifications & Skills - Master’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field
• Strong understanding of core Computer Science concepts (not limited to ICT/digital literacy)
• Experience in curriculum planning and lesson delivery
• Good classroom management and communication skills
• Familiarity with Cambridge Computing framework is preferred
• Prior experience teaching primary and lower secondary grades is an advantage
