Accounting Assistant

About the role

RBC Global Advisors is a Consulting and international advisory firm providing cross-border tax, audit, and accounting services to clients in India and the US. We are building out our US property management accounting practice and looking for motivated candidates to join as Accountants. If you are a B.Com/M.Com graduate with a strong foundation in accounting and a desire to build expertise in US real estate accounting — we want to hear from you. Freshers are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts for US-based property management companies using software such as AppFolio, Buildium, Yardi, or QuickBooks
• Record day-to-day transactions — rental income, maintenance expenses, vendor payments, and owner distributions
• Bank and credit card reconciliations for US client accounts
• Prepare monthly owner statements, income statements, and balance sheets
• Accounts payable management — vendor invoice entry, bill payments, and aging reports
• Track and reconcile security deposits and tenant ledgers
• Assist in preparation of year-end workpapers for US CPA review
• Respond to client queries via email in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) — any pass-out year welcome; freshers encouraged to apply
• CA Inter / ACCA (pursuing or dropped out) considered favorably
• Sound knowledge of accounting concepts (double-entry, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet)
• Proficiency in MS Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables a plus)
• Good written English communication skills
• Willingness to work US hours (IST evening/night shift)

Nice to have

• Prior experience in accounting for a US/UK/AU client in a BPO or KPO setup
• Working knowledge of any US property management software
• Familiarity with US GAAP concepts
