Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Staff Accountant at Ragland & Ames LLC. The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks, including preparing income tax returns for individuals, partnerships and corporations, preparing financial statements, researching tax issues, performing general ledger reconciliations, assisting with audits, and analyzing financial data. The Senior Staff Accountant will also collaborate with clients and provide support on accounting-related matters.

Required

• Demonstrates a genuine care about their work (takes ownership), the firm, and other team members
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of tax experience in an accounting firm.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Preferred

• Experience using UltraTax, Lacerte or CCH
• CPA or EA
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Trust and estate experience
