Role Overview
We are looking for a self-driven Junior Accountant with at least 1 year of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a CA firm or accounting practice, who has independently managed client assignments with minimal supervision. You must be comfortable owning your work and communicating directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently managing day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for assigned clients on Tally ERP/Prime
- Preparing and filing GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C) and handling GST reconciliations
- TDS computation, deduction tracking, and quarterly return filing (24Q/26Q)
- Preparing financial statements, P&L, and Balance Sheets for finalization
- Coordinating directly with clients for data collection, clarifications, and compliance updates
- Assisting in statutory and tax audit support work
- Maintaining compliance calendars and ensuring timely filings for assigned client portfolio
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in an accounting firm or CA office (preferred)
- Must have independently handled client accounts — not just assisted
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/Prime is mandatory
- Working knowledge of GST portal, TRACES, and Income Tax portal
- Good command over MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred)
- Strong communication skills — capable of direct client interaction (email and phone)
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter candidates preferred
- Ability to manage multiple client files simultaneously with accuracy and deadlines
