Questpro is working with a leader in the Life Insurance industry to help them hire an experienced Large Case Life Insurance Underwriter. This is a full-time, permanent position and is fully remote. To be considered you will need to have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Life Underwriting and be able to demonstrate experience with Large Case Underwriting, Complex and Substandard Underwriting and have strong communication skills. Ideally our client would like to find someone with a personal approval limit of at least 3M and prefers 5M or higher. We are also looking for someone who can demonstrate experience with the Financial Underwriting needed for larger face amounts.

This is a production based role with an emphasis on:

• Assessing medical (and financial) risk for Risk classification
• Following internal criteria for pricing and productivity
• Providing a high end customer experience
• Support innovation and excellence in underwriting practices
• Being committed to personal improvement and training
• Contributing to strategic initiatives, sharing best practices, etc.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Individual Life Underwriting experience
• Proven experience with Large Case Underwriting
• Personal approval limit of 3M minimum (5M preferred)
• Ability to underwrite complex and sub-standard business
• Financial Underwriting related to large face amounts
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Nice to have but not required: FLMI/FALU, EKG, College Degree
