[MONTREAL] Hybrid - Production Support Engineer - DWH & Commercial Banking Applications

We are hiring a Production Support Engineer - DWH & Commercial Banking Application to work with one of our clients based in Montreal.

Based in Montreal, this position involves developing and supporting activities for commercial banking applications. The main objective is to manage the risks and reporting mechanisms used by business users, while maintaining and enhancing the underlying infrastructure, including databases, critical overnight batch execution, and month-end reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Support: Support all upstream and downstream data warehouse (DWH) interfaces.
• Issue Resolution: Resolve production issues, including root cause analysis (RCA), defect remediation, and incident reporting.
• Batch Management: Coordinate the resolution of batch issues within prescribed timelines and manage application failover tests.
• ETL & Performance: Manage ETL operations and performance-tune complex SQL and DML queries.
• Project Enhancements: Perform enhancements based on business requirements, such as batch job configuration in Control-M, creating database objects, and writing shell scripts.
• Compliance: Ensure all system implementations meet regulatory standards and bank policies.

Candidate Criteria:

• Experience: 5 - 9 years of relevant experience, ideally in an IT production support team.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Technical Skills: Strong background in databases (Oracle/Sybase), Linux, Windows, SQL Server, and shell scripting.
• Functional Knowledge: Knowledge of DWH systems in a banking environment, overnight batch processes (EOD/SOD), and project management.
• Languages: English is required; French is desirable.
• Flexibility: Ability to work non-business hours for on-call support, including overnight batch support and weekends.
