We are looking for an IT Support Analyst for one of our clients, an investment bank set in Montreal

Mission & Responsabilities

Provide 1st and 2nd level support for Repo & Secured Funding (RSF) trading systems within Capital Markets IT, operating as part of a global 24-hour support team using a follow-the-sun model.

Key Focus:

· Direct support to Front Office traders in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

· Incident management, problem resolution, and service improvement for RSF trading applications

· System analysis, development, implementation, and support for Front-to-Back RSF IT systems

· Management of business user requests with quick turnaround and clear communication

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct Front Office support during trading hours, responding rapidly to trader requests in a high-pressure environment
  • Handle incidents end-to-end: ticket management, communication, stakeholder engagement, and resolution
  • Conduct support investigations and root cause analysis
  • Report incidents, outages, and system errors promptly through designated systems
  • Deliver application support and expertise for assigned RSF trading systems and related projects
  • Gather and analyze new requirements from business users, participate to release management
  • Coordinate with the Paris-based development IT team

Key Competencies Essential

  • Experience with REPO products or at minimum strong knowledge of Fixed Income financial products
  • Extensive experience supporting a live Fixed Income trading environment
  • Proven experience working with financial software in capital markets
  • Strong SQL skills
  • ability to write complex queries, troubleshoot data issues, and perform analysis
  • UNIX/Linux knowledge
  • sufficient to read system logs and understand error messages
  • Understanding of IT architecture and Front Office trading systems
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • ability to communicate effectively with Front Office traders, understand their requirements quickly, and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure in a challenging, fast-paced trading environment
  • Ability to speak the traders' professional language and understand trading desk dynamics

Nice to Have

  • Experience in PnL recomputation and reconciliation
  • Experience with APEX and/or Orchestrade platforms
  • Other Requirements

-Language: Fluent in English, French is a plus
