Job Description

As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) at our company, your role involves actively driving the sales process with direct and channel customers. You will need to articulate our technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Your responsibility includes identifying all technical and business issues of aligned accounts to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers is key during the sales cycle.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Provide product and technical support for assigned accounts
  • Manage and sell to SMB Customers within a defined geographic territory
  • Drive a culture of success through product expertise and positive account management
  • Provide accurate forecasting on Sales pipeline
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to monitor the quality of services delivered to customers
  • Engage with channel partners and provide accurate renewal quotes
  • Raise alerts for any necessary customer business or technical situations in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with customers to expand the implementation/integration of Qualys products and services
  • Act as a customer advocate to enhance customer contentment

The ideal candidate for this role should have a security and/or networking background with experience in engineering, administration, or support roles ranging from 3 to 6 years. General knowledge of IT security fields, including Firewall, IDS, IPS, Vulnerability Management, Network Scanners, PCI, Policy Compliance/GRC-IT, and Audit Tools is advantageous. Additionally, familiarity with Desktop and Server operating system configuration, TCP/IP networking hardware, LAN and WAN technologies, network design, and web security architectures is beneficial. It is essential to understand network and security infrastructure elements to advise on the best use of Qualys products on cloud platforms.

**Qualifications:**

  • 3-6 years of experience in security and/or networking background
  • General knowledge of IT security fields and network technologies
  • Ability to understand network and security infrastructure elements
  • Strong technical background with an excellent work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to be a customer-facing, technical solution expert
  • Extensive use of CRM tools to maintain accurate customer information
  • Willingness to work rotational hours to support global customers

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • 3-6 years of equivalent experience in consulting or account management
  • Pre-sales experience in computer networking, information security, or public clouds
  • Candidates from STEM fields are preferred
