Systems Administrator (LINUX/UNIX)

Pay From: $100,000 per year

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Experienced Systems Administrator.
• 4+ years of total experience.
• 2+ years of experience with UNIX/LINUX systems.
• Previous experience in Systems Administration of UNIX/LINUX systems.
• Knowledge in administering the following tools or equivalents: RedHat, Microsoft Windows, VMWare.
• Good problem‑solving skills with ability to troubleshoot.

Duties

• Manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
• Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
• Installs, upgrades and monitors software and hardware.
• Maintains operating systems, business applications, security tools, web‑servers, email, PCs, local and wide area networking both hardware and software and mid‑range server hardware.
• Maintains, enhances, creates user account/report, takes backups using Linux tools and command-line interface tools.
