Role: Data/Orchestration Developer (MS SQL Server, VB.NET)

Location: Mississauga, ON L4Z 4E7.

Hybrid: 3 days in office

5+ years

Must have Skills:

At least 5+ years of experience in data development and/or relevant tools
Expertise in MS SQL Server and its tools
Advanced level knowledge on RDBMS and SQL.
Proficient with Stored Procedures, Functions.
Hands on knowledge on DTS or SSIS.
Worked on VB.NET scripting and have good knowledge on the advanced concepts
Proficient with various data formats (XML, csv, fixed-length record, delimited)
Working knowledge of GitLab, CI/CD and artifactory
Understanding of Sorting, bundling and data aggregation
Ability to provide accurate time, resource, and dependency estimates for MS SQL projects based on the business requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work individually with other teams for integrating the components into the workflow.
Work with offshore counter-part and team and resolve any issues

Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to create data pipelines for applications
Create templates for data file pre-processing, parsing and transforming.
Leverage industry and client best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
Review code changes for applications
Perform unit testing of the application
Support integration testing and quality assurance
Debug end to end application flow for any errors and perform causal analysis.
Mentor less experienced developers/Trainees
Have Daily sync-up call with offshore team and resolving any issues and supporting them
Assist with creating standards and architecting new client solutions
Work with other teams in integrating the components and running end to end flow

Nice to Have Skills:

FI/Banking experience
Understanding of different output file formats, output queues and Print file formats (PDF, AFP, etc.)
Good understanding of Java 8 and .Net Framework
Experience in working with any of the data orchestration tool
Understanding of end to end flow in the composition and printing process
Good in deploying applications, performance tuning and automates routine procedures through scripting or any other programming tools.
Working with offshore team
Knowledge of Banking document development lifecycle (data processing)
Banking and Financial Domain knowledge (Statements, Canadian Taxes, Cheque Processing)
