Job Description
Job Role- Renewable Energy Expert
PwC is looking for candidates with 4+ years of experience in renewable energy, B.Tech/B.E. (Electrical/Mechanical) + Master's degree (preferred), and prior experience in project monitoring of RE programs with utilities / RE agencies. Experience working with international donor-funded programs (ADB/World Bank/etc.) is required.
Advantage: Experience in rooftop solar / PM-KUSUM schemes, exposure to ULA/RESCO models, familiarity with DISCOM operations, regulatory processes, and subsidy-linked programs, and experience in MIS-driven monitoring and reporting systems.
Work Location: Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering; Master's degree (preferred)
Must Experience:
- Minimum 4 years experience in renewable energy sector
- Experience in project monitoring of at least 2 RE projects with utilities / RE development agencies
- Experience working with international donor organizations
Key Skills Required:
- Deep knowledge of India's renewable energy landscape
- Experience with government programme operations
- Understanding of DISCOM workflows
- Expertise in coordinating across stakeholders
- Rooftop and feeder solarisation proficiency
- Programme management and data reporting
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, PPT) abilities
Brief responsibilities:
- Assist Team Leader with all work areas
- Oversee daily programme monitoring: applications, approvals, installations, stakeholder coordination
- Support dashboard/MIS development, reporting, and governance meetings
- Resolve issues with DISCOMs and field teams; track vendor performance
- Contribute to business model development and regulatory submissions
- Conduct training and capacity building
