About the Role
We are hiring a hands-on Business Development Manager focused on new client acquisition and revenue generation.
This is an individual contributor role. You will be responsible for generating opportunities, building pipeline, and closing deals across IT staffing and technology services.
This is not a team management or strategy-only role. We are looking for someone who can independently create and convert opportunities from day one.
Responsibilities
New Business Development
Identify and pursue new client opportunities within the Canadian market
Leverage existing relationships and network to generate immediate opportunities
Conduct outreach (calls, emails, meetings) to open new accounts
Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities
Sales Execution
Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and closure
Close staffing and project-based engagements across mid-market and enterprise clients
Work with internal teams to shape solutions aligned to client needs
Client Growth
Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders (Directors, VPs, CIO/CTO where relevant)
Expand accounts through repeat business and additional opportunities
Ideal Candidate Profile
5–10 years of experience in business development or sales within IT services, staffing, or consulting
Proven track record of originating and closing new business independently
Experience closing deals in the $50K–$500K range
Strong network within Canadian mid-market organizations (preferred)
Comfortable generating opportunities without relying on inbound leads or marketing support
Self-driven, execution-focused, and results-oriented
What We’re Looking For
Someone who can start generating qualified opportunities within the first 30–60 days
A true hunter mindset with the ability to open doors and close deals
Strong ownership and accountability for revenue outcomes
Success Metrics (First 6 Months)
Build a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities
Close initial client engagements
Conduct 20–30 qualified client meetings
Deliver multiple proposals and convert opportunities into revenue
Compensation
Base Salary: $100,000 – $120,000
Performance-based commission
