Job Description
As an experienced Project Lead QA, your role will involve leading end-to-end quality assurance activities across complex software projects. You will be responsible for driving the QA strategy, managing testing teams, ensuring high-quality releases, and collaborating closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and defect-free software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the QA strategy, test approach, and quality metrics for assigned projects.
- Lead and mentor QA engineers (manual and automation) across multiple modules or projects.
- Plan test cycles, resource allocation, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Oversee functional, integration, system, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
- Ensure timely execution of test cases and adherence to release schedules.
- Review and approve test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Drive test automation frameworks and ensure optimal test coverage.
- Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Evaluate and recommend testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Ensure effective defect tracking, prioritization, and root cause analysis.
- Define and track QA KPIs such as defect leakage, test coverage, automation ROI, and release quality.
- Promote continuous improvement in QA processes.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, DevOps, and Business stakeholders.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Act as the QA point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps best practices.
- Support audits, security reviews, and compliance requirements where applicable.
- Drive shift-left testing and quality engineering practices.
