Job Overview
The Director of Marketing will be responsible for the strategy, execution, and optimization of all CELPIP, CAEL, and DSST (B2C) demand generation efforts. As an expert in all aspects of pipeline generation, this role will define best practices, develop campaigns, and manage budgets to ensure successful business outcomes. As a leader in the business, you will help build, lead and grow a global campaigns team focused on implementing demand generation strategies that span the consumer journey.
This position reports to the VP, Marketing and works closely with the VP, Revenue, Language Proficiency Assessments portfolio.

Responsibilities
Growth & Performance Marketing
- Lead multi-channel acquisition across paid search, paid social, display, retargeting, influencer, SEO, and AEO
- Set and manage performance targets (e.g., registrations, CPR, conversion rates)
- Drive continuous optimization of campaigns, creative, content, and landing pages
- Partner closely with product, tech, and operations teams on registration-flow improvements
Brand, Positioning & Differentiation
- Lead the development and execution, in collaboration with other Prometric stakeholders, of annual marketing plans to drive and measure growth
- In consultation with the VP, Revenue and Business Development team, lead brand strategy, differentiation, and messaging
- Ensure consistency of voice, value proposition, and visual identity globally, while enabling regional localization
- Understand and track competitive marketplace and government policy impacting demand
Marketing Technology & Automation
- Own the marketing website and automation stack, optimizing for personalization and conversion
- Ensure high-quality tracking, attribution, and data flow to support decision-making and experimentation
Team, Budget & Vendor Leadership
- Directly manage an internal team
- Own the marketing budget, media spend, vendor selection, and performance accountability
- Lead and optimize vendor relationships with one or more regional marketing agencies
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Support the VP of Revenue to achieve top-line revenue and growth targets
- Partner closely with business development, product, tech, and operations teams
Qualification Requirements
EDUCATION
- An undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications from an accredited university. A graduate degree will be considered an asset.
Experience
- 8-12 years of related experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a team leadership role. Experience in testing, immigration, or edtech is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with multiple teams in a matrixed organization.
- Proven track record of developing and managing marketing programs tied to specific goals (e.g., awareness, engagement, revenue).
Skills
- Self-starter with excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to consistently orchestrate, prioritize and manage multiple projects from concept through implementation.
- Excellent analytical skills and an ability to prioritize based on impact.
- Knowledge of remarketing and advanced targeting tactics, including dynamic creative, CRM, site retargeting, search retargeting, keyword contextual, affinity, look-a-like, etc.
- Experience with Google Ads (search and display) and Meta Ads.
- Experience with social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter) and building a social influencer network.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Braze, Sanity, and Blaze AI or similar data, automation, CMS, and AI marketing tools.
- Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
