Systems Administrator (RHEL)

MUST:

Active Top Secret/SCI

3+ years Systems Administration

3+ years Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) or equivalent.

3+ years of applying STIGs, security patches, and compliance controls.

3+ years network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, NFS, etc.).

Familiarity with Kubernetes & Docker

3+ years experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Bash, or Python scripting.

Working knowledge of virtualization and storage management.

DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, or equivalent).

DUTIES

Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers and related systems.

Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across multiple environments.

Apply and maintain STIG compliance, patching, and security configurations in accordance with DoD standards.

Automate deployments, configurations, and system tasks using Ansible, Chef, or similar tools.

Support containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes for scalable application hosting.

Monitor and troubleshoot system performance using Grafana, Prometheus, and related tools.

Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.

Collaborate with cybersecurity, development, and network teams to ensure secure and efficient operations.

Document system changes, configurations, and operational procedures.
