JOB DESCRIPTION

Design Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Manager. He or she will be in direct contact with the sales and engineering departments of the company as well as a direct contact to the company’s customers.

Design

Engineer will be required to work Engineering department and participate directly in ongoing tooling and machine design.

• *QUALIFICATIONS:**

o University Mechanical Engineering Education (preferred)

o A minimum of 2 - 5 years of mechanical design experience.

o Self motivated Innovative thinker.

o Good knowledge and understanding of design standards.

o Good level of computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel & Project).

o CAD design experience (2D or 3D – Autodesk Inventor)

o Good understanding of manufacturing & assembly processes.

• *OBJECTIVE:**
• “Immediate Enhancement of Current Mechanical Engineering”* By adding additional qualified staffing.
• *PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

o The role of Design Engineer is to be responsible for designing custom machinery, tooling and automated equipment for various industries from concept to final product. (Training to be provided)

o Follow engineering specifications and customer requirements o With guidance of Senior Mechanical Designer perform engineering calculations with respect to strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, temperature, pressure, force, etc. as related to machine and tool designs.

o Design mechanisms, subsystems and complete machines involving mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic components using SolidWorks and Draftsight **Design pneumatic /hydraulic schematics**

o Provide design support to manufacturing o Produce drawings and bills of materials using CAD, spreadsheets and ERP tools
