Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Learning Experience Designer (IT Systems) to join our pharmaceutical client in Rahway, NJ. This is a 6-month contract to start with the potential for extensions.
Pay: $30.00 - $37.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Description
The Learning Designer will support the Animal Health manufacturing business on an IT initiative by designing instructor-led and blended learning solutions that enable adoption, improve performance, and drive behavior change.
We are seeking a self‑directed learning designer who takes ownership of work from intake through delivery, proactively drives progress, and delivers high‑quality learning solutions in a fast‑moving, ambiguous environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop instructor-led training (ILT) and supporting learning assets to support new IT systems and business processes.
- Translate complex technical and process-heavy content into clear, engaging, and practical learning experiences aligned to real job tasks.
- Partner closely with SMEs and business stakeholders to understand performance needs, clarify priorities, and design learning solutions that support effective adoption and on‑the‑job application.
- Apply performance-focused design principles to ensure learning addresses real behavior gaps, not just system navigation.
- Independently manage multiple deliverables, driving progress while maintaining strong communication, quality, and stakeholder alignment.
- Iterate on learning solutions based on feedback and evolving business needs.
- Proficiency with learning and design tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.
- Project management experience, including managing timelines, dependencies, and multiple deliverables.

Education and Experience:
- BA/BS with minimum 4 years of experience with facilitation or classroom training, content creation, instructional design.
- Prior facilitation or classroom training experience is highly valuable. The Learning Designer is expected to bring a strong facilitation‑informed instinct for engaging learners, including the ability to design effective activities, anticipate learner questions, structure learning flow, and pace complex content appropriately.
Required Experience & Capabilities
- Previous experience as a classroom, virtual, or ILT facilitator/trainer, with a strong understanding of learner engagement, common learner challenges, and real‑world application.
- Strong content creation and writing skills, with the ability to design engaging learning experiences using storytelling, scenarios, and real‑world use cases that resonate with learners and support on‑the‑job application.
- Strong performance consulting capability, including the ability to diagnose performance gaps, advise on how learning should drive behavior change and business impact, and identify appropriate solutions when training is not the right answer.
- Strong instructional design experience, applying established models and principles such as ADDIE, action mapping, and learning science (e.g., Mayer’s principles) to inform design decisions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive work forward with minimal oversight.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to partner effectively with SMEs to translate expertise into learner‑ready content.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with technical or process-heavy content (e.g., IT systems, manufacturing, operations).
- Experience developing eLearning or blended learning solutions.
Additional Requirements
