Field Services Technician - Manufacturing (up to $90k)

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

This is a Full Time, Direct Hire position

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will be providing field service maintenance and technical assistance to our customers located throughout North America. This can include the following: Installation of new equipment, emission testing, commissioning of new equipment, troubleshooting on site, regular preventative maintenance, repairs on site, operator training and modification of equipment and systems.

• Visiting customer sites to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair our equipment
• Acting as a consultant to our customer base regarding our products
• Performing all assigned planned maintenance
• Processing paperwork upon completion of each job

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be available and accessible by phone and computer daily as required
• Maintain, troubleshoot and service light industrial equipment both mechanically and electrically
• Troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues to keep equipment functioning properly
• Test each system after service/repair is complete to ensure the system is functioning properly
• Perform proper inspections of customer system to prevent future issues
• Explain each service and repair performed to customers
• Use sound judgment to deal with and eliminate safety related issues
• Self-starter, clean and responsible individual capable of making independent decisions
• Provide detailed and clear service reports
• Must have valid Driver’s License with proof of insurance and good driving record
• Also be able to obtain a passport for international travel
• Versatile equipment maintenance repair skill set
• Electrical Controls experience needed
• 1-3 years wrench in hand experience (mechanical, engineering, electrical, installation (Experience limited to only computer/IT repair and installation is not generally a fit for this role.)
• Bonus to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics
• Must have standard tools used in the craft
• Light welding / fabricating experience a plus

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s degree in a mechanical or electrical program is preferred
• Field service experience is a must
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Knowledge of computers and controls design is a plus
• This position consists of travel typically 3-4 days per week (Monday-Friday) BUT home on weekends
