Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Pharmacist in Charge at Preston's Compounding Pharmacy in Arlington, VA. The Pharmacist in Charge will oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, manage sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, and lead the pharmacy team. Responsibilities also include maintaining inventory, ensuring quality control, collaborating with healthcare providers, and promoting patient safety through detailed attention to compounding procedures.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, with a strong understanding of USP <797> and USP <795> guidelines
• Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations related to compounding and pharmacy operations
• Experience in pharmacy operations management, including staff leadership and inventory management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with healthcare providers and team members
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety
• Licensure as a Pharmacist in the state of Virginia and experience in a compounding pharmacy setting preferred
• Ability to lead and mentor team members while fostering a positive work environment
