Research Analyst - Real Estate Sector (India)

We are looking for a curious & detail-oriented Research Analyst to track the Real Estate sector. The Analyst will be responsible for tracking listed developers, analyzing the commercial and residential landscape, and providing a framework to track and value Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs)

What is expected from you :

• Sector Coverage: Maintain active coverage of the Indian real estate sector, including residential, commercial, and retail segments.
• On-the-Ground Research: Conduct primary research, including site visits, channel checks with brokers, property consultants, and monitoring micro-market supply/absorption data along with local regulatory filings.
• Funding & Capital Structure: Analyse project-level funding, including construction finance, private credit deals, and having a view on developer liquidity.
• Reporting: Prepare investment notes, quarterly result updates, and thematic reports on sector tailwinds/regulations (e.g., RERA updates, tax changes) and surface relevant industry reports and facts from time to time.
• Financial Analysis: Financial statement analysis of listed Indian and Global Real Estate companies.

Valuable to Have:

• Familiarity with InvITs (Infrastructure Investment Trusts) or other listed & private yield-bearing vehicles.
• Prior exposure to site visits, project-level assessments, or developer interactions.
• Understanding of SEBI REIT regulations and disclosure frameworks.
• Knowledge of how real estate companies raise equity or debt from public markets.

Qualifications: Educational credentials which give you the skills required to perform the role like - CA, CFA (US), MBA (Finance) are preferred
